Welcome

Welcome to The Barcelona Experience, Columbia University's pre-college summer program in Spain.

The required forms and important information about paying the program fee and preparing to travel to Barcelona are available on this Web site. Please make certain that all of your paperwork is completed and returned to us as soon as possible. Be sure to visit the checklist to finalize you enrollment.

Because you will be traveling abroad, you must carry a valid passport with you on the trip. U.S. citizens do not require a visa for travel to Spain. If you are a citizen of another country, check with the Consulate of Spain to ascertain whether or not you will need a visa. If you are a non-U.S. citizen and are required by Spain to have a visa, you will not be permitted to depart with the group if you fail to get one.

Students in the program travel to Barcelona as a group on Saturday, June 30, 2012, leaving from New York 's JFK International Airport. You will receive specific travel instructions closer to the date of departure. Please be aware that should you miss the scheduled flight for any reason you will be responsible for making new travel arrangements and paying the additional charge. No portion of your program fee will be refunded.

You will receive e-mail correspondence with additional travel information from the resident adviser who will fly with the group. Most questions you might have will be answered in the in the enrollment materials and on our Web site. Be sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions.

We congratulate you on your admission to the Barcelona Experience and look forward to hearing from you about the wonderful time you spent in Spain.
