Peter Lacovara Biography
Peter Lacovara has over 40 years experience in managing the development, maintenance, and operation of IT-based business systems. His experience spans the spectrum of technologies from electronic accounting equipment to first generation computers, through mainframe batch and minicomputer transaction systems to microprocessor and Web-based applications. His industry expertise is concentrated in banking, brokerage, insurance, and government. He has worked in management and executive positions at The American Stock Exchange, Chase Manhattan Bank, The City of New York, and Prudential Financial. Lacovara is expert in the development of IT organizations and business-driven IT strategies. He has developed corporate-wide Business Systems Architectures for Chase, Prudential, and the City of New York’s Department of Finance. From 1996 to 2006, Lacovara served as the chief business systems architect for Prudential Financial. Since then he has operated as an independent consultant serving the government, educational, and financial service communities. Lacovara's educational credits include a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the New York Institute of Technology and numerous professional development courses throughout his career.
