Mark Halloran Biography

Mark Halloran is the CIO of Medco Health Solutions, a position he has held since September 2003. Halloran joined Medco Health in 1993 as director, information technology and architecture. As CIO, Halloran is responsible for managing an organization of 800 information technology associates with an annual budget of $300 million. Halloran's responsibilities include providing executive-level leadership to deliver high-quality, cost effective information technology services, as well as maintaining an effective relationship with clients, technology vendors, and industry standards forums. Halloran also serves on the management committee of Medco Health and is responsible for information technology covering all aspects of Medco's business operation. As vice president, e-commerce, he established an IT organization to facilitate product design and deployment of e-commerce services directed. He completed deployment of first PBM-based online pharmacy. Medco.com is currently the largest online pharmacy servicing over 6 million consumers and generating over $6 billion in drug sales. As vice president, international information technology; he was responsible for working with in country government agencies and business partners to establish clinical pharmacy benefits services within Germany , UK , and Holland . Prior to joining Medco Health, Halloran was with the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation from 1984 through 1993 where he held several positions with increasing responsibilities in their information technology organization.
