Maggie Miller Biography

Maggie Miller has been in the IT industry for over 30 years. She is senior vice president and CIO of Warner Music Group, where her focus is on ensuring Warner's IT systems and business processes are optimized for the digital era. In May 2005 Warner Music Group became the only stand-alone music company to be publicly traded in the United States . With its broad roster of new stars and legendary artists, Warner Music Group is home to a collection of the best-known record labels in the music industry including Asylum, Atlantic , Bad Boy, Cordless, East West, Elektra, Lava, Maverick, Nonesuch, Reprise, Rhino, Sire, Warner Bros., and Word. Warner Music International, a leading company in national and international repertoire operates through numerous international affiliates and licensees in more than 50 countries. Warner Music Group also includes Warner/Chappell Music, one of the world's leading music publishers, with a catalog of more than one million copyrights worldwide. Following initial training at British Airways, she worked for a subsidiary of Unilever for nine years and in the finance sector for eight years before holding CIO positions for First Choice Holidays, Dell EMEA, and J. Sainsbury plc, where she was responsible for the company's IT enabled transformation program. In addition to her role at Warner Music Group, Miller is a member of the Steering Board of the British Computer Society's ProfIT program which is working to develop and deliver professionalism in the IT industry.
