Kevin Kessinger Biography
Kevin Kessinger is chief operations and technology officer of Citi, overseeing operations and technology across the company, worldwide. He is a member of the Citigroup Management Committee and Operating Committee and serves as a director of Citibank, N.A. (Citibank) and Citicorp Holdings Inc. (CHI). Formerly, Kessinger was executive vice president of the Global Consumer Group and the president of Consumer Finance North America. He was responsible for all companies operating under the Consumer Finance North America umbrella; collectively, these businesses represent more than $80 billion of consumer-based assets and some 2,400 branches. Previously, Kessinger was the COO at Citi Cards, responsible for operations and technology, where he and his team directed the integrations and conversions of AT&T Universal Card, the Associates bankcard, and private-label cards. Kessinger was chairman of Citibank South Dakota and Citibank USA and a board member of Citibank Nevada. In addition, he and his group supported operations and technology functions for the U.S. Retail Banking Group, Diners Club, and the Student Loan Corporation. Before that, he ran the strategic business unit for the American AAdvantage Credit Card Program. Prior to joining Citi, Kessinger was managing director, Banc One Financial Card Services in Columbus, Ohio. He received his M.B.A. from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He has also completed postgraduate studies at Ohio State University. Kessinger is a trustee for the Midwest Research Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, and he is on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity International.
