John Tiglias Biography

John Tiglias is an accomplished information technology executive with over 30 years experience in technology management, professional services, and helping companies achieve value and innovation. He is senior vice president and CIO for Atkins Nutritionals, a leading consumer packaged goods company undergoing rapid growth. His mission is to create an integrated technology platform to support the company’s global operations while enabling business process standardization across the enterprise. He is also currently the executive sponsor leading the organization’s e-commerce and direct marketing initiative. Before joining Atkins, Tiglias was CIO for Sharp Electronics, where he a global initiative that integrated factories and business operations worldwide using a standard ERP platform. At Insignia Financial Group, Tiglias created a unified technical architecture for messaging, collaboration, CRM and financial reporting for a global market leader in integrated financial and real estate investment and management services. As CIO for Carl Zeiss, Inc., he was an early adapter of SAP’s ERP software that allowed the organization to integrate its supply chain and implement consolidated financial reporting for strategic business units and foreign subsidiaries. Tiglias was also a manager in Coopers & Lybrand’s management consulting practice where he was involved in numerous engagements developing IT strategic plans, assessing organizational needs and leading large-scale implementations in the financial services, manufacturing, and heath care sectors. Tiglias also has taught information systems management at the Iona College Hagan Graduate School of Business.
