Diana E. Beecher Biography

Diana Beecher is CTO of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. As CTO, Beecher is responsible for technology strategy, implementation, and operations for the systems and applications which support the Port Authority’s business. The Authority manages and maintains the bridges, tunnels, bus terminals, airports, seaport, and PATH trains that are critical to the bi-state region's trade and transportation capabilities. Prior to joining the Port Authority, Beecher held the position of CIO at Marsh, Inc. from May 2003 until February 2006. Prior to joining Marsh, Beecher was senior vice president and CIO at Travelers Insurance. In that role, she was directly responsible for the development and application of technology for all business lines and personal lines. Beecher joined Travelers in 1995 as vice president for technical engineering in the information systems core technology area before being promoted to senior vice president and CIO in July 1997. Prior to joining Travelers, Beecher served as senior vice president of brokerage operations for S.G. Warburg & Co., Inc., where she managed trade processing and settlement. She had previously spent 13 years working at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc., where she progressed through positions of increasing responsibility, reaching the rank of principal of the worldwide equity division in 1989. Beecher received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg University.
