Dana Deasy Biography
CIO and Group Vice President of British Petroleum. Deasy was previously CIO of General Motors North America, a position he held for a year and a half. Prior to joining GM, Deasy was senior vice president, CIO of Tyco International (U.S.) Inc. He was responsible for developing overall global information technology strategy as well as for implementing technology to improve Tyco’s competitive position globally. Most recently, Deasy was vice president and CIO of the Americas at Siemens Corporation. Prior to joining Siemens, he was the chief information officer of General Motors Locomotive Group. He also previously served as the director of information systems for Invetech Company and held a number of positions at Rockwell space systems division, ultimately achieving the position of director of information management supporting Rockwell’s space shuttle program.
