Christopher Ferreri Biography
Christopher Ferreri currently manages the product design, development, and deployment for ICAP’s voice-brokered securities markets in the U.S. ICAP is the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, transacting more than $550 billion dollars a day in trading volumes. Their customer base ranges from small regional banks to multi-national corporations, broker-dealers and banks. He began his career as a project engineer for E.I. DuPont de Nemours. In 1984, Ferreri joined Garban’s treasury division, and is currently registered with the NASD. During his tenure as a U.S. treasury broker, he helped design a variety of internal support tools and participated in the proprietary trading systems used at Garban. In 1999 Ferreri and a team of developers began the design and ultimate roll out of Garban’s e-commerce solution, ETC. The trading platform grew into a separate division of ICAP, developing, installing, and maintaining trading systems for U.S. and foreign securities, global foreign exchange trading, and a broad variety of money-market instruments. Today, Ferreri is responsible for strategic design and planning for the blending of ICAP’s voice brokered over-the-counter markets and implementation of electronic access and trading. Ferreri is a member of the advisory board for Stevens Institute of Technology’s Systems Engineering and Engineering Management Department/SDOE program, Chairman of the Capital Campaign to expand Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish on Staten Island, and has served as a Member for Staten Island University Hospital’s charity golf outing.
