Chris Perretta Biography
Chris Perretta is vice president, CIO for GE Commercial Finance. He leads a global team of GE professionals who plan, design, build, and operate the automated business solutions and related infrastructure that service one of GE’s largest businesses. Perretta also serves as the CIO of GE Capital Solutions. Prior to his current position, Perretta was CIO for GE Consumer Finance North America, and CTO for GE Capital. He joined GE in 1996 following 13 years with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in New York, France, and the UK consultancy practices. His tenure there included stints in the manufacturing, software technology and financial services sectors. Previously, he was an Electrical Engineer with GE’s Aerospace Division, Syracuse, New York. He is a graduate of the GE Edison Engineering Program and is a certified Black Belt in GE’s Six Sigma program. Perretta has a B.S. in engineering science from Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. in electrical engineering, and an M.S. in computer science from Syracuse University. He has also done two years of doctoral work in medical engineering at Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences, Technology and Management.
