Bruce Lee Biography
Bruce Lee is the CIO and managing director of HSBC global banking and markets, Americas. He is also the global chief of staff for IT, HSBC global businesses. Currently, he manages IT for HSBC in the Americas for its global banking and markets businesses, with development teams in Canada, New York, Mexico and Brazil.
He is also responsible for all risk, control, strategy and planning activities of global business IT covering asset management, security services, private banking, global banking and global markets across the HSBC network in 86 countries.
Lee managed software delivery for various markets businesses, including FX, FX derivatives, interest rate derivatives and Asian securities. He was the CIO at BNP Paribas in Tokyo for two years, and the CIO at BNP Paribas Americas for seven years. He has extensive experience in building Americas regional IT teams as part of a global franchise.
Lee graduated with first class honors in computer science from Hertfordshire University.
