Bob Angarola Biography
Bob Angarola is the managing director and chief administrative officer for Calyon Americas, the corporate and investment banking arm of Credit Agricole, the largest bank in France. Angarola is responsible for all business continuity and internal control for the North and South American entities of Calyon. In this capacity, he maintains day-to-day responsibility for management of risk mitigation and control along with management of the bank’s self-assessment process as it applies to disaster recovery and business continuity – both the technical and business components. Prior to joining Credit Agricole, Angarola was chief administrative officer for the banking division of Credit Lyonnais, managing the U.S. payments and loan administration operations and technology areas. He has also been CIO for Bank Julius Baer in New York, vice president and director of global trading operations for Bank of America, and vice president and director of operations and technology for Creditanstalt. A veteran of nearly 30 years in banking operations, technology and risk management, Angarola has also served as a member of the IFSA Board of Directors since 1997—he served two years as its Chair, was IFSA’s Annual Conference Chair in both 1985 and 1997, and was a member of the SWIFT Financial Trading Working Group. He is also a member of the Contingency Planning Exchange.
