Julia Brickell

Julia Brickell is executive managing director and general counsel of H5. She joined the company in October 2008. Prior to H5, Brickell served as associate general counsel at Altria Corporate Services, Inc., from 2000 to 2008, focusing on existing and future litigation challenges and electronic data management. From 1998 to 2000, Brickell was vice president and deputy general counsel, Philip Morris USA, advising the domestic tobacco business on antitrust, regulatory, and compliance matters and handling commercial litigation. From 1982 to 1998, Brickell practiced at Davis, Polk and Wardwell in New York, handling antitrust, securities, professional malpractice, and commercial litigation. She is on the board of Lawyers for Civil Justice and has been involved in various pro bono activities, including teaching trial practices courses at the New York County Lawyers Association. Brickell obtained her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Smith College.
