Bruce Kahn

Bruce Kahn is a Senior Investment Analyst at Deutsche Bank Climate Change Advisors, a think-tank within Deutsche Bank’s asset management division, whose function is to support the asset management business by identifying trends across asset classes for colleagues and clients. Prior to his current role at Deutsche Bank, Kahn has had a breadth of experience as an investment strategist. He was a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Smith Barney, where he managed socially responsible investment practices and covered clean technology, as well as alternative and renewable energy funds. Kahn has also been a Sustainability Consultant with Cameron-Cole Environmental Engineering, where he advised Fortune 500 companies on their environmental management practices and reporting. Kahn has served as a post-doctoral fellow at Miami University of Ohio’s Center for Sustainable Systems Studies, where he developed a proprietary tool for assessing environmental value created by companies and deriving investment recommendations. Prior to his work at Miami University, Kahn was a graduate research associate at the University of Wisconsin and Auburn University. He is also a U.S. Peace Corps alumnus (’93) – having spent time in Cameroon consulting with small businesses, government and non-government organizations on agriculture, aquaculture, and forest resource management. Kahn earned his B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut (1989), his M.S. in Fisheries and Allied Agricultures from Auburn University (1995), and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin’s Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies (2002).
