Current high school students are not eligible for University housing (this includes students who were accepted into the class of 2016) unless they are enrolled in Columbia's Summer Program for High School Students.

The Off-Campus Housing Assistance Office helps Columbia students and affiliates in their search for rental housing in non-Columbia-owned buildings located in the metropolitan area. These accommodations are not subject to inspection or approval by the University.

OCHA maintains a Web site and regular office hours to provide advice, resources, and an online database of available housing. An apartment-hunting video and an instructional video for using the database are both available online.
