Payment Deadlines and Policies

Enrollment Form and Deposit

In order to reserve a spot in the program, you should have already submitted the Enrollment Form and a $500 nonrefundable deposit paid through the online application system.

Tuition Payment Deadline

A bill for the outstanding balance will be issued to the student’s Columbia University email account in June (early June for Session I; late June for Session II) and will indicate the deadline by which to remit payment. Payments sent to the University before the bill has been issued cannot be accepted.

Please contact Student Financial Services with questions about payment. Students can pay the tuition bill by check, wire transfer, online check (echeck), or credit card. Please note that Columbia University does not offer a payment plan for this program.

Housing Cancellation

Students attending the Summer Program for High School Students in New York City who wish to cancel their reservation for housing for any reason may do so by June 7, 2012. Students who cancel their reservation after that date will be charged the entire housing fee.

Refund Policy

Students attending the Summer Program for High School Students in New York City may withdraw from the program by the deadlines indicated below for a full refund, minus the nonrefundable deposit. To withdraw before the program has begun, contact Summer High School Program Admissions at hsp-admit@columbia.edu. To withdraw after the program has begun, go in person to the Summer High School Program office by the deadline.
