Congratulations on completing your degree!
The degree of Master of Science is conferred upon a student who has fulfilled satisfactorily the requirements of the School of Continuing Education and the program. Each program of study sets forth the specific requirements for the degree as well as standards of satisfactory performance and progress. These standards are described in materials published by the School.
Columbia University awards degrees three times during the academic year: in February, May and October. There is one commencement ceremony in May, which all graduates are invited to attend.
In order to receive a diploma, students must fill out an Application for Degree, and mail it to the address provided on the site.
October graduates: August 1
February graduates: November 1
May graduates: December 1
M.S. candidates who fail to earn the degree by the conferral date for which they applied must reapply for a later conferral date.
