John Keenan

John Keenan is a vice president in technology at The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., one of the world's leading financial firms. Keenan heads a team responsible for selecting, evaluating, and engineering cutting-edge efforts to utilize mobile communications and computing technologies that enable the mobile business workforce, while preserving the stringent confidentiality and secure communication requirements regulated by the financial sector. He is primarily responsible for the firm's use of Research in Motion's BlackBerry technology, while evaluating rapidly evolving alternatives and other hand-held computing platforms.

Kennan has over 20 years of experience in technology and has held responsibilities ranging from managing large technology groups, to performing systems and database administration, networking and application development. Keenan earned a B.A. in mathematics and computer science from Boston College, and holds an M.B.A. in finance and information systems from New York University.
