Joan Warner

Joan Warner is a New York-based journalist specializing in finance. She spent nearly 20 years at Business Week magazine, where her beats included personal finance, international finance, and European news. As senior editor for Europe, she covered the birth of the Euro from Frankfurt and New York, winning a McGraw-Hill Corporate Achievement Award in 1999. Her magazine clients as a freelancer have included Institutional Investor, Chief Executive, Financial Planning, Dealmaker, Registered Rep, and the Bottom Line/Personal and Bottom Line/Wealth newsletters. Her corporate clients have included McKinsey & Co., PricewaterhouseCoopers, and FrontPoint Partners. She was managing editor of Directorship, a governance publication serving corporate board members, from 2006 to 2007. In 2007 she also wrote a how-to book, Photo Album, for Kolo LLC, a maker of archival photo accessories. Warner holds a B.A. in classics and English and an M.A. in comparative literature, both from Harvard University.
