William D. Squires

Bill Squires has over 24 years experience in sports and entertainment facility management. He has managed Yankee Stadium, Giants Stadium, ESPN Wide World of Sports (where he was their first General Manager), and the Cleveland Browns Stadium, whose opening he oversaw in 1999. At each of these venues he was responsible for all aspects of operations and administration. He currently owns a consulting business where one of his major projects was working with the New York Football Giants, the New York Jets, and the New Meadowlands Stadium Company on the privately financed $1.7 billion MetLife Stadium.  Many of his current clients provide products and services to the sports facility industry. Squires is a past president of the Stadium Managers Association, whose members include facility managers from the NFL, MLB, MLS, CFL, motor speedways, colleges and universities, and several international facilities. Squires is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and was an active duty naval aviator for 12 years prior to joining the New York Yankees. He served an additional 16 years in the Naval Reserves and retired as a Commander.
