Mark Conrad
Mark Conrad is associate professor of law and ethics at Fordham University’s Schools of Business Administration, where he teaches sports law, media law, contracts, and business organizations. Conrad has been teaching at Fordham since 1987. He also teaches sports law as an adjunct professor at New York Law School. Conrad’s approach emphasizes the interplay of business and legal considerations in sports governance, contract negotiations, sponsorships, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Conrad has researched cutting-edge legal issues in the sports industry and drafted case studies centering on its changing dynamics. Conrad’s writings have appeared in legal and general circulation publications, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Sports Business Journal, and the New York Law Journal. His latest publication is The Business of Sports – A Primer for Journalist, 2d Edition (Routledge, 2011). He is also a frequent blogger for Sports Law Blog. Conrad received a bachelor’s degree from City College of New York, a J.D. from New York Law School, and an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Prior to joining Fordham, Conrad worked as an editor at the New York Law Journal.
