Students begin their exploration of southern Jordan with a sunset hike through Little Petra, Petra’s smaller, quieter but equally beautiful sister city. Unlike Petra itself, which was a holy city used for religious rites, Little Petra was where the Nabateans actually lived, and where Bedouin communities still live. Students stay the night near this gorgeous site with the welcoming local Bedouin tribe.
