The School of Continuing Education makes Columbia courses accessible to a wide array of people with diverse needs and interests from the New York area, the nation, and around the world. Our students are motivated, serious, ambitious, academically oriented people who choose to invest time, energy, and money in their own professional and personal development.
We offer courses in the Arts and Sciences, applied professional master's degrees, Postbaccalaureate Studies for graduate school or professional advancement, and High School programs for enrichment.

Noncredit study for high school students in New York, Barcelona and Jordan through the Summer Program for High School Students. Visiting high school students can apply to take Columbia courses for credit through Visiting Students.
Visiting undergraduate, graduate, and high school students can take Columbia classes for credit during the Academic Year or Summer Sessions.
Summer study for Columbia students, visiting students, and Postbaccalaureate Studies students is available through the School of Continuing Education's Summer Sessions.
