Options for High School Students

Noncredit summer study
The Summer Program for High School Students offers noncredit enrichment and college preparatory courses for motivated students at Columbia’s campus in New York City. The Barcelona Experience, a summer study abroad program, provides an immersion experience in one of the world’s richest cultures. Another study abroad program, Culture and History: Understanding the Arab World, combines study at Columbia University in New York City with study abroad at King's Academy, in Manja, Jordan.

Earn college credit
Students who have exhausted their high school’s curriculum in a given subject area may apply as High School Visiting Students to take Columbia classes for credit during the academic year through Postbaccalaureate Studies or during the summer through the Summer Sessions program.
