Notes:
International students are required to attend full-time, which means there is a minimum requirement of 12 credits per fall and spring semesters. If you are a student with an international student visa you must abide by this rule. Therefore, if you select not to take classes in the summer, you need to either take 14 credits during semesters 1 and 2, then the 12-credit capstone in semester 3; or take extra credits during the fall or spring semesters to maintain full-time status.
There are 4 electives as part of the course work in the program. A minimum of 2 of these electives need to be taken within the program and then 1 or 2 may be taken outside of the program within another school at Columbia. These courses need program permission. Of course, we have many offerings and all 4 electives can be taken within the program.
