Eric Marcus
Eric Marcus is consulting social psychologist working with a wide variety of public and private sector client systems on issues of planned change, leadership development, diversity, feedback, intra and inter group mediation and conflict resolution and related areas. Marcus is a certified mediator in New York State involved in community mediation in Bronx County. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution for the last several years; and also teaches at Baruch College. Marcus is recent past president of the Organization Development Network of Greater New York and now serves on their Advisory Board. Marcus is one of the co-editors of The Handbook of Conflict Resolution: Theory and Practice (2nd Edition), with Morton Deutsch and Peter Coleman, in which he has a chapter on change and conflict. Marcus recently conducted a workshop on “Resistance to Change: Capturing its Energy for Success” at the ASTD National Conference; and participated on a panel at SIOP on the same topic. Marcus received his M.A .and Ph.D. from Columbia University in social and organizational psychology, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University.
