Thomas Navin

Thomas Navin combines architecture and garden design in his private practice. He has worked in the offices of Michael Graves, Philip Johnson/John Burgee, and Kohn Pedersen Fox on residential and commercial projects in New York, Princeton, Denver, Houston, and Chicago. As a consultant, Navin worked with Eric R. Kuhne & Associates on a 22-acre downtown park and flood relief project in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he designed a small, northern Manhattan park in conjunction with the Department of Parks Greenstreets Program. Navin has taught at the University of Miami and is currently a special lecturer at the NJ School of Architecture at NJIT and an instructor at the New York Botanical Garden, teaching design, history and theory. Navin holds a B.F.A. in architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a M.S. in architecture from the University of Virginia. He is a registered architect in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the American Society of Landscape Architects.
