Enrollment & Transfers

Individual Course Enrollment

Nondegree students may enroll in one course, History and Theory of Gardening and Landscape Design (LAND K4200), on a space-available basis with the permission of the program director.

Individuals interested in taking this course should apply to take a class through the Postbaccalaureate Studies program.

Successful completion of this course does not guarantee admission to those who subsequently apply to the master’s degree program. Students planning to apply to the M.S. degree program in Landscape Design may take no more than one program-specific courses before doing so.

Transfer of Credit

Into the Program

In principle, the School of Continuing Education does not accept transfer credit for degree work done at another institution. However, students enrolled in an M.S. degree program may petition the Office of Student Life and Alumni Relations for transfer credit or advanced standing if they believe course work they have previously done is duplicative.

Out of the Program

Students who seek to apply course credit towards a degree must consult with the degree-granting school in order to determine eligibility and limitations. The School of Continuing Education cannot advise students on the applicability of credit toward another degree.
