Peter Jackson
Peter Jackson was chief editor of the Yearbook of the United Nations, responsible for the annual publication of a 1,800 page comprehensive and authoritative reference work of the activities of the entire U.N. system. He was also responsible for implementing the project to convert the 59 editions of that publication into a digital resource. He recently retired from that position after 18 years of service. He previously held the position of chief of conference services at the Secretariat of the Caribbean Community in Georgetown, Guyana, where he managed that organization's conference information and documentation service. Prior to that, he was assistant professor of French language and literature at the University of Guyana.
Jackson holds a B.A. from the University of Guyana and a B.A., an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of Bordeaux III, France.
