Summer Programs For High School StudentsCulture and History: Understanding the Arab World
The High School Programs are academically rigorous; courses do not carry college credit, however.
Grades are not assigned. Rather, upon successful completion of the program, students receive an official Columbia University Statement of Attendance and written evaluations from their instructors.
Successful completion is determined by the instructors and the Director of Secondary School Programs. Successful completion is based on attendance, satisfactory completion of assignments, and adherence to the program's behavioral standards.
Class attendance is carefully monitored. Students must attend classes unless they are ill.
Plagiarism in any form is not tolerated.
Evaluations and Statements of Attendance are typically mailed out by early October.
