Thad Henry

Thad Henry has been a vice president/officer in higher education for more than 20 years and has been recognized for leading award-winning teams. Some of his honors include West Virginia fundraising professional of the year; Greater Kansan City Council on Philanthropy fundraiser of the Year; and he was one of 16 individuals in the U.S. and Canada recognized as an outstanding fundraiser by the American Fundraising Institute. Henry has been the vice president for institutional advancement at the University of New Haven for five years. He is beginning a new role as special assistant to the president for Columbia College, South Carolina, to champion fundraising efforts and leadership development while working closely with their Leadership Institute and Leadership Alliance. Henry also teaches leadership and team building at the University of New Haven. He is currently enrolled in a doctoral program focusing on educational leadership and change. As a consultant, Thad has conducted numerous workshops for nonprofits, independent schools, organizations, colleges, and boards. He holds a B.A. from Barrington College and an M.A. from West Virginia University.
