Gail L. Freeman

Gail L. Freeman is founder and president of Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC., a full-service firm offering a broad range of services including fundraising consulting, training, and executive search for leading not-for-profit organizations nationwide. Prior to establishing her firm, Freeman served as vice president and director for a national retained executive search firm, where she led the development and institutional advancement practice, managing all aspects of the search process, including client relationships, research, networking, qualification, and the final selection of candidates. In 2001, Freeman was honored for her contributions to philanthropy by the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She frequently speaks, writes, and consults within the not-for-profit sector and has published numerous articles for leading industry publications, including "Big Gifts for Community Organizations" for the AFP journal, and co-authored an article for Fund-Raising Management titled "How to Increase Your Annual Fund." Freeman received her B.A. from Grand Valley State University and her M.A. in Not-for-Profit Management from the New School.
