Michele Demers Gluck

Michele Demers Gluck has 20 years of experience as a strategist, writer, and communications professional. She has developed communications and advocacy programs for a variety of philanthropic and social change organizations. Currently, she is engaged as a strategic communications consultant for several philanthropies, applying her skill at translating complex policy and social change ideas into language that is accessible to broad audiences.

Previously, she was director of communications for Humanity United, a humanitarian foundation created to help end mass atrocities and modern-day slavery. There she led the development and promotion of Humanity United’s brand and social change strategies, served as spokesperson and press liaison, and created the messaging used for all external relations. She developed and implemented an online communications and advocacy strategy that advanced Humanity United’s goal of building a global constituency for its work.

Demers Gluck honed her communications, branding and advocacy skills at Human Rights Watch and Demos, developing the ability to analyze and use public opinion research and the marketing of ideas to advance innovative solutions and bring new constituencies to social challenges. She launched and ran her own firm, Tattersall Consulting, from 2002 to 2007. Select clients included the Ford Foundation, Liquidnet for Good, Atlantic Philanthropies, Kettering Foundation, William J. Clinton Foundation, Committee for Economic Development, Common Good, Global Fairness Initiative, Dalberg Global Advisors, Survivor Corps, FilmAid, RAINBO, and Alan Slifka Foundation.

She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and has a master's degree in international relations and communications from Boston University.
