Kent Page

Kent Page is UNICEF headquarters senior advisor, strategic communications. He has served with the United Nations for the past 15 years with four different UN organizations, including with UNICEF in its New York headquarters and in offices in Brazil, Afghanistan, Angola and throughout West and Central Africa (e.g. Niger, DR Congo, Sierra Leone); with the United Nations development program in Angola during the civil conflict; with the United Nations office for the coordination of humanitarian assistance in Liberia during its civil war; and, with the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Rwanda. He was previously a naval officer with the Canadian forces for nine years, including missions to Bosnia-Hercegovina, Russia and the Ukraine. Page most recently served with UNICEF's emergency mission in Haiti as its chief spokesperson and chief of communications, following the earthquake in January 2010.
