William Hart
William Hart is a vice president with Marsh USA's construction practice, based in Princeton, NJ. Hart has more than 23 years of industry and consulting experience in oil and gas, infrastructure and systems engineering. At Marsh, Hart is involved in analyzing claims, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, claim support, and formulating management strategies. He provides expertise in delay, disruption, acceleration, productivity, and inefficiency analyses. He has a broad understanding of design, engineering, and construction practices and procedures. He possesses special skills dealing with complex projects: oil/gas and petrochemical infrastructures projects and operations, power generation facilities, and transit and transportation projects. He has current and state-of-the-art practical skills in dispute resolution and risk management for the construction industry, with specialized expertise in various types of contracts, contracting arrangements, and engineering/construction management programs. Prior to joining Marsh, Hart was a senior engineer with ExxonMobil Corporation, responsible for the delivery of a range of domestic and global infrastructure projects. He is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states as well as a certified project management professional with the Project Management Institute, and a certified forensic claims consultant. Projects that he has managed in his years in industry include oil and gas production facilities, multimillion-dollar drilling programs, computing data center design and construction, and IT systems design and deployment. In addition to his work in construction consulting and the oil industry, Hart has a variety of other work experiences including construction inspection and commodities futures trading. He is also active as a fundraiser and construction consultant for Missionaries of the Poor in Cap Haitien, Haiti. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in engineering from Columbia University.
