Kassie Canter

Kassie Canter is a communications professional with over 15 years of experience in the field. She has counseled corporate CEOs on communications strategies, developed strategic communications campaigns, advised on crisis communications, and overseen advocacy campaigns for many media companies. Most recently, she served as the chief communications officer at Oxygen Media, where she oversaw all public relations and public affairs activities for the cable network. In addition to determining the company positioning, Canter developed original award-winning campaigns to launch and promote the network’s programming. She also executive produced an Emmy-nominated PSA campaign encouraging women to vote. Prior to that, Canter was the senior vice president for corporate communications and public relations at NBC, where she determined the communications strategies for the number one broadcast network in the country. Canter also was a senior vice president for the strategic public relations company, Robinson Lerer and Montgomery. Earlier in her career, Kassie held positions with the New York Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention, the 1988 Dukakis for President Campaign, and the Mayor’s Office of Boston. She holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.P.A. from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
