Jill S. Goldman
Jill S Goldman, MS, MPhil, is a genetic counselor at The Center for Parkinson’s Disease & Related Disorders at Columbia University Medical Center. She has worked as a genetic counselor since 2000; before that she was a health education specialist and science teacher.
Goldman is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) Special Interest Group on Neurogenetics, a member of the American Academy of Neurology, and an appointed member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Association for Frontotemporal Dementia. She has led workshops in neurogenetics at the NSGC Annual Educational Conference and been very active in the neurogenetics field.
Her publications include titles such as "Case Report: Depression vs. Early-Onset Alzheimer Disease: The Genetic Counselor’s Role in The Journal of Genetic Counseling", “When sporadic disease is not sporadic: the potential for genetic etiology” (co-written with BL Miller, J Safar, S de Tourreil, JL Martindale, MD Geschwind, and SB Prusiner) in Arch Neurol, and “Adult-onset genetic disorders involving the frontal lobes” (co-written with MD Geschwind and G Yoon) in The Human Frontal Lobes: Functions and Disorders.
