Academic Writing for International Students, Spring 2013
The course is a 6-point morning or evening part-time course (three mornings or three evenings). It helps students develop their academic writing skills, covering essay structure, rhetoric, grammatical accuracy, paraphrasing, and citing sources. The course is thematic, meaning that you will explore different topics and themes (current affairs, social issues, etc.) by reading, listening, and discussing material, and then by writing essays about that material. The instructors then provide feedback and encourage you to edit and revise your own writing.
