Payment Procedures
Registration is not complete until all tuition and fees have been paid or an agreement has been reached about schedule of billing and payment.
Checks must be in U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank.
Students may elect to:
- Pay bills online.
- Print out the statement and pay it in person at Student Financial Services, 205 Kent Hall.
- Mail payments to Columbia University, P.O. Box 1385, New York, NY 10008-1385.

Billing, Payments, and Student Accounts
Student account statements are distributed electronically. All billing notifications are sent directly to students at their Columbia University e-mail address; no other address is used. Consequently, students are required to activate their Columbia e-mail accounts immediately after confirmation of registration. For additional information on electronic billings see the Guide to E-Billing, available on the Student Financial Services Web site.
